Trickle Filter
Nitrifying ammonium rich grey water to make it safe to return to the environment. Operates out of the Sustainability in Action Facility with Dr. Joe Ackerman as an advisor.
Goals of this project:
Test water quality parameters to determine efficacy of the filter.
Compare different filtering mediums to see which performs the best.
Determine the time for total conversion of ammonium to nitrate.
Explore sustainable water filtration to recapture nutrients of grey water.
